R.L. Stevens Extended Child Care
R.L. Stevens ECC is located on the campus of R.L. Stevens Elementary in the Wright School District. The center is open in the afternoon when school is out until 6pm. Full day program is available on most non-school days from 7am to 6pm.
Site Supervisor: Doris Wilson is the Center Director at R.L. Stevens Extended Child Care. Doris has been a director with ECC since 1989. She has also been a classroom teacher at the pre-school, elementary, and high school levels. Doris has a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, and is currently a trainer for the California School Age Consortium (CalSAC).
R.L. Stevens Extended Child Care center prides itself on being culturally aware and staying active in the school community. The staff exposes the children to various service learning opportunities and focuses on building strong social skills. An abundance of opportunities are available daily including homework assistance, fitness activities, dramatic play, art projects, computers, Spanish Club, science curriculum, and literacy activities. A nutritious snack is offered daily during the regular day program. Opportunities for subsidized care are available at this site to qualifying families.
